I'm concerned that the upper level rhodium plated OCB-1 DXs and EXs models might sound too 'hi-fi-ish', but I would seek reports of how the rhodium models actually sound, though.

All things considered, if you want to keep costs down, but still want to plug the power distributor into a SOTA Oyaide R1 Beryllium AC outlet installed at the wall, I might consider the entry level Oyaide OCB-1 SX Power Distributor with the stock unplated polished brass AC plug re-terminated with an Oyaide P-004 Beryllium AC plug from the get-go or perhaps down the road when more audio dollars become available for an upgrade. just my 2 cents
