RE: Terminating VDH Revelation

Posted by Duster on May 23, 2012 at 13:15:32:

The most effortful aspect of termination would be properly stripping the 17 individually insulated conductor bundles per leg, which would involve 68 stripped conductor bundles in total for both channels/both ends. The threaded base of the VDH Universal Speaker Connector features a solder bucket intended for solder termination, not mechanical termination such as crimping. Re-soldering should not be too difficult if the cables are properly prepped for re-termination. When finished, make sure to apply sturdy heat shrink tubing over the cable ends to act as robust strain relief.
