Milled Aluminum/Carbon Fiber Shelled Valab AC connectors.

Even moderate-cost level Valab Carbon Housing Rhodium Plated Copper AC connectors sound excellent to my ear, so I don't think it's the metal shell of the Furutech FI-50M(R) AC plug that's offended you. Perhaps rhodium plating is not your cup of tea, whereas chemically treated unplated copper seems to have hit the spot. I suggest you take a deep breath, count to ten, and simply return the offending Furutech FI-50M(R) AC plug to whomever seller you may have purchased it from.

Cheers, Duster
