my experience with the 33 is primarily based on LP-CDRs. That said, I've had a fair bit of experience with other AT models, and I've owned many Shures.
I truly can relate to your comparison between the 33 and V15.
I'm generalizing, because my experience with the 33 is obviously limited, but I found them to offer a "soft'sh" type sound, with a truly sweet top-end, a spacious sound-stage, but as frequencies decline, it starts to lack instrumental impact, perhaps a little too soft & lean on bottom. I imagine that SRA is critical with such a stylus, so perhaps that characteristic can be offset with a more precise setup.
That said, the characteristics of your tonearm & turntable, and how the 33 synergizes (not a word, but) with them, will often provide a unique experience upon itself.
