I just tested my operating Zerostat 3, and here are the results . . .







I attached the ion indicator device, and I could not see the red glow in a lighted room while I squeezed the trigger. I then tested the Zerostat in a darkened room while holding the gun next to a faucet, and I easily saw the red glow in the ion indicator device(hazy pic).

After I played a record, I removed the LP from the platter without using the Zerostat. The foam mat stuck to the record(see picture 3). I placed the record back on the platter and then used the Zerostat gun according to the instructions in my answer below to Hi Fi Spicoli. The record came off the platter this time with no foam mat attached. The gun obviously worked, and I have to do this with every play on my AR-XA turntable.
