Garrard Lab-80 (wood tone arm ruled) back in 1965

I had it many years before I was actually born. (how else can I explain having a TT in 1965 without saying I am an old bag.)
Love at first sight. Saw it in a store, and decided I had to have a stereo to be able to own it.
I had the Garrard changer for about ten years. After that the usual 70's 80's japanese stuff. Then dumped vinyl and went all CD. After coming to my senses, I got a Denon DP59-L, then added a Dual Golden One. Then someone gave me a Rega/magnipan Unitrac with a Dynavector Ruby23. All my recent listening has been on the Rega, but I just bought a Rega 5, AND a Kuzma S/Stogi S.
In between I dug up a non-functional Garrard Lab100, but threw it in the dumpster. The Lab 100, with the pivoting headshell was a technological nightmare. It had three or four cobbled together bits for every one needed. Just the platter had like twenty parts. It would have taken a PHD to figure out what all the gears, levers, springs did inside its mechanism. I shiver just thinking about it.
