RE: Explain tie up between Pallas Gmbh and Furnace MFG, please.

In vinyl Toyokasei does mostly Japanese labels. Canterbury was a really good example of the quality of their work. The shipping costs back to Furnace is one of the things that added to the price of that release.

Going back to your first post, both Warner and Furnace announced that the 140 and 180 Young's were going to be pressed at Pallas a few months ago when they announced delivery dates for the releases. So they were upfront from the beginning on where they were being pressed. Pallas has the capacity to run 10,000 to 11,000 records a day (200,000+ a month) and they only use one shift of workers a day. A lot of their employees have been there a long time too so they really know how to do vinyl well. They change stampers around every 500 records, with some runs even more often, and do quality checks during each run. Their checks haven't shown any significant problems with the boxset pressing which is why they are asking Warner to get returns so they can be checked out. Furnace is going to have them press however many are necessary for replacement copies.

Pallas is more than happy to have Furnace bring them more business and they aren't overworked at all as some have suggested here. They do have expansion plans if they see the need for more capacity.
