The latest from Mojo magazine: "The Beatles' back catalogue will be reissued on vinyl, says Jeff Jones, Chief Executive of Apple Corps. Speaking exclusively to MOJO, Jones revealed that work on the next stage of the Beatles Remastered campaign is currently underway."
Mojo is reporting that Monday next week will be release day in the UK. Some questions being raised: will they be available individually or in box set like the mono CDs? will they be from the hi-rez digital masters made for the CDs, or completely redone from the same analog masters? will there BE any mono mixes for the vinyl?
Hopefully, they will be available individually. My main CD player refuses to play the CD configuration (dropping the horns off of Magical Mystery Tour, etc.) so vinyl would be ideal for me. But an entire box set? that's pushing things.
