I’m working out some changes to my system and I would like to be sure that the maximum output from my cartridge is capable of (after passing through all of the gain stages) driving the power output stage to clipping with a typical LP. In my case I am using a denon dl103R cart rated at .25mV output which I gather must be related to some certain velocity of the stylus but I have no idea how this “rated” output relates to a typical LP. Can anybody tell me if .25 mV should be taken as an average, absolute maximum or some percentage of either voltage?
Thanks,
Marty
