You really can't go wrong with either. You may also take a look at Nottingham as well. I was looking at all three myself. I didn't want to get into an expensive upgrade cycle so I ended up passing on the VPI and the Nottingham seemed like a better deal than the Mitchell so that's why I went that direction. I also liked the motor design better than both of them as well as no belt traction issues. I would have been very happy with any of them though.
