It amazes me how you can make a judgement with out having a clue as to all of the facts.
If my goal was to impact Larry's business I certainly would not use this forum for that purpose. I've purchased several pieces of equipment from Larry and spent quite a bit of time speaking with him. When he setup my table 4 years ago, he made several glaring mistakes, his excuse was " I had a bad cold when I set this up, and if you want perfection buy and avid with a triplanar arm and a helikon cartridge. I had him repair an NAD 3155 integrated amp. 3 weeks later it failed. His response "oh well". Last year I went to audition a Lyra Dorian, he installed it on a spacedeck and I brought my phonostage and stax headphones with me to audition the cart. It was so bright I could not continue. His response, I really did not have enough time to align the cartridge. He's a nice guy but..given the track record I wanted to know if he was taking the same approach with other people.
Yet, despite all of this I would still be willing to buy gear from him in the future. Its got to be hard to run an audio shop by yourself these days. But we pay good money for our hobby and I do not think its unreasonable to expect quality and attention to detail.
This is m last post as I have no desire to waste any more of my energy responding to "A PEA HEAD"
