not sure if this will help you or not but I am about to put my CJ55 back into action while I re-do the set up and cart for the LP12.
Cant give a comparison however I would ask is your current table suspended, belt or direct drive and what are your set up and tweaking skills or interests? In other words do you want simple plug and play or do you like to fiddle around and comfortable with doing set ups?
Personally I had direct drive solid base type tables while gwowing up and eventually discovered that I preferred the suspended, simple drop and play type. I dont care for the clamps, weights and all that fussy stuff but thats my preferance in operation however I do like to get my hands into it and fiddle and tweak the set ups. I enjoyed the CJ for several yrs until an LP12 came along. Its been to long to recall so I am looking forward to compare now going back to it
Mine has the linn basic LV-X arm and a Grado Gold worked well but then a Dyna 10x-4 took over. The Dyna is a bit light for that arm but a little clay under the headshell took care of that. Its an easy table to set up and if your looking for a change its not at all a bad table. Its my understanding it was well liked back in its day.
Keep in mind when considering any table option its all up to you to decide if its to your likeing and if it fits your intesests or expectations.
