That was my first "proper" turntable, except I had a Linn Basik LVV and Linn K9 cartridge on it. Lasted me quite nicely until I replaced it with a Linn Axis. It's so long ago now, that I can't really comment on the sound, but I believe that the Axis outperformed it significantly (Hence Why I bought the Axis) plus the Axis had pushbutton 45 rpm, instead of moving belts.
However, in turn, the Axis was replaced about 15 or 16 years ago with my current LP12. Of course, the LP12 has also changed in that time, from a valhalla/cirkus/Akito I, to where it is now, namely OL Advanced DC drive/OL RB250/Garrot P77. In the next month or two, I am getting a bonus from my Company (Woo Hoo!) and hope to upgrade the P77 to an Optim S2, replace the Linn Subchassis with the re-released Cetech subchassis and armboard and, get the upgrade transformer for the OL advanced.
btw, does anyone know how much could I expect to sell an Akito MkI for, as it is still sitting on a shelf gathering dust? does asking this break any asylum rules? If so, please ignore.
