I had one of those a few years back. Even in rough cosmetic shape and with a few loose pushbuttons, it sounded great -- especially in "CD Direct" mode, which (as you know) cuts out all the tone controls. I ended up passing it on to a nephew for his first "real" system, and he's still using it.
