AFAIK - all you need is to:
a) Change the position of the black screw placed under the platter (just above the motor) to 110v
b) Invert the metal plate placed next to the strobe mirror

As for packaging: I would take out the platter and leave the bearing shaft attached to the platter - and pack well... :-)
