I think on some of my test bed ROK it wouldn't be too hard to mill in some precision marks around the bottom of the platter and fill these with white paint.

Increasing the accuracy by a factor of 10 to 100 would be nice for my archival recordings.

That said, I bet the device as modified by Powermatic will be a big improvement over a ROK strobe wheel. A big improvement to be sure.

30 bucks seems like a prudent investment for a diy turntable guy like me.
