I have all of these, and they seem....,well, lazy, next to Riot. Riot takes pop culture on its own terms and then goes deeply negative. The Funkadelic records are great but they are so far removed from pop as to be, essentially, one man's groove. Which, really, they are. Riot has a universal quality. IMHO.
