You are not comfortable with waiting that long for your cartridge to be worked on. Take your business elsewhere!
My half dozen experiences with Sound-Smith have been positive (and involved waiting times that were significantly longer than quoted occasionally).
I do not use the automated menu system and always opt to speak with a person on the phone when contacting Sound-Smith (Email with them is also useless).
Since they have been "discovered", Peter has been buried in re-tipping work, that may account for the lengthy turn around times.
Good Luck with your re-tipping overseas. My past experiences have been universally negative with both the outfits in England and Australia (both arrogant and slow), perhaps yours will be better. You won't be able to pop over and get your cartridge back if things don't go to your liking however.
