Were you given an RMA? From what they told me, you need the RMA in order to track your cart's progress.
My own experience with Soundsmith was excellent. They told me to expect my cart back in seven weeks, but it was done in four. Peter Lederman spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me in a conversation that started out with the care and feeding of the repaired cart but ended up in a discussion about audio in general.
This was only a couple of months ago.
