strapped for mono

Lost my mono switch when I lost my Bugle so after reading a bit here I strapped the cartridge for mono. I am not sure if this is the right way to do it but from what I read and put together from all the instructions that are in the archives this looked like the easiest to implement with no extra connections, etc.

I ran a reprocessed for stereo and it cured that record of it's weirdness.
Other mono records just seem a lot smoother.
Like on some especially smooth Getz you can hear the skin and resonance of the drum.
On a not perfect copy of Dexter Gordon's ~ GO the impact really improved.

I know this is only summing so I was looking at Ortofon's D 25 M mono cartridge. that seems to be one of the few which are less than 1 mil in size. I read that anything over 1 mil will destroy your newer stereo and mono records. I want a mono cart that can play with all my records. Any other suggestions on small size conical stylus cartridges is welcome.

I don`t care much about music.
What I like is sounds. ~ Dizzy Gillespie
