but feel your pain and desire. Removing ink off of ink is too tough for me. Solvents are out.
If it were a defaced art piece, people would carefully paint over the lines with colors to match the background.
For albums, I would just chalk it up to an impression of love for the object from the previous owner.
A few of my albums carry autographs, always from the sidemen, not the chief. A few have the date bought and where, kind of cool, I think.
