Cleaning ink from LP jackets or labels?

Lots of info on removing dirt, stickers, and labels from jackets in the archives but what about ink from a pen or ballpoint? I have several used LPs where some previous owner felt the need to autograph the jacket and/or the record label and I'd like to remove them.

When I was in school (decades ago) there was a liquid correction fluid to remove ink. This was not White Out (an opaque cover up) but a clear eradicator. It might have contained bleach but that would only work on white paper.

Any recommendations? And is it possible to remove ink from a colored background?
