A Tale Of Two Systems ( vinyl related )

So I recieved my Denon DL 103R the other day and installed it in my VPI Scout. I have both tube and SS electronics. First up was the Countrpoint SA 3000 pre and Assenblage ST 40 with premium upgrades. Right out of the box the sound was full and lush and detailed. The midrange was right there a little foreward, but sounded very right. Next up SS Forte model 2 Pre, and Forte 4a class A amp. the sound was more laid back with lots of detail but not the fatiging kind, bass is more diffined as is the upper frequencies. I listened to both for about 12 hrs and I cant decide which I like best. The reason why I am posting this is there may come a time when I have to choose between the two. Maybe after the cart. breaks in I will have a better idea.....thanks for reading......DK
