Hey Tom, you have just got to spin a Denon DL 103 onto this tonearm. This is one heck of a match up.
If your belt is not keeping perfect time I know the right place to find a custom ground replacement that is identical to the original.
LPGear sells these. They are not cheap....35-40 bucks from what I remember, but they are perfect in terms of time accuracy and are extraordinary in overall quality.
The Pabst motor on these Empires makes them really sound superb in every way. Make sure all the rubber grommets are soft and compliant.
