Decided to dress up the plinth on my Empire 498, which is using an old Pioneer PL-50 plinth. My woodworking skills leave a lot to be desired and my tools aren't really up to a professional job, but it looks pretty good. I had some scraps of alder and mahogany. I made the front removeable so I can make a new piece with some Honduran Rosewood that I have ordered.

This table actually sounds pretty good, I found a reasonably priced Stanton 981HZS which works well in the arm.
