Can you play a record immediately after cleaning?

After using the VPI 16.5 with 2 step Mofo solution, is it okay to immediately play the LP?

I never have as I was always feared the LP was not completely dry deep, deep in the groove and therefore by playing, the stylus would just swoosh around slush in the groove and end up dirting the stylus with crud after the stylus air dries.

Anyone? or am I being over-anal? (if thats even possible in our world)
