Use a crevice tool modified with front cut square and plugged up. The tool should, have a 1/8th or so inch slot carved down its length about 3.5 to 3.75 inches long. You then take felt material that you can buy at dollar stores, cut into two strips, put contact cement on the tool and then on the back side of the strip of felt. Once ready press the two felt strips on the contact cement, either side of the slot you cut into the crevice tool. You now have a safe and effective way to vacuum records... OBTW it is wise to drill a small hole say about 1/8th inch. dia. as an air bleeder so the vacuum has a suction break when you vacuum the records.
