Supex 900 super - worth repairing?

Hey fellow inmates,

I have a Supex 900 that had a tragic encounter with a duster. From the research in the archives so far, it seems like the Cartridge Man and Van den Hul are the only people who can repair them. VdH is a lost cause, because back when they still had a USA arm, I talked to them, sent them a form, and never heard back from them again. A recent visit to the CM web site shows that repair for a MC cartridge starts at 375 UKP.

I'm wondering if the Supex is worth the repair, or should I go for something new? What cartridges would be comparable?

Having read Art Dudley's rave about the Benz-Micro MC20E2L, I'm very tempted to give that a try.

I have the Audimeca Romance TT and matching arm, and I listen to all kinds of music and noise.

Also, if there are any other reputable repair shops, please share.
