RE: Better Genesis Album: "Selling England By the Pound", or "Lamb Lies Down on Broadway"

I like 'em both. Selling is a bit more polished than Lamb, and some would consider that good, some bad. A bit more raw is the earlier Foxtrot, which I think you should also look for. Maybe you can download something representative from each, just to see what kind of sound appeals to you. They performed at my college around 1973/4- great show. A short time later a venue that small never would have happened.
