I notice on a number of recordings on vinyl that the vocals tend to move across the center image in conjunction with the playing of an album side. For example, when I start the first track of an album, the vocals tend to be just right of center. Later, as the tonearm moves across the LP, I can hear a gradual shifting in center image vocals to right in the middle or slightly left of center. Could this be an antiskate adjustment issue? Or an incorrectly set azimuth? I attempted to adjust the antiskate up and down and still got that shift from slightly right to centered.
This does not happen with cds, so I'm thinking it is related to the cartridge setup.
Anyone with thoughts?
