Idler plinth musings...

Gearing up for a massive plinth type project and was wondering over a few things.

1. Motor cooling, how to accomplish some degree of ventilation for motor without sacrificing mass and quietness in motor area.

2. Has anyone added some foil or similar between layers to provide shielding? I would like to have phono section/pre on a shelf below the plinth.

3. What kind of leg set-ups are folk coming up with? I was thinking 3-legs (for leveling) with cup-and-ball mounting for dampening from 3ish Hz and down.

4. I'm adding a step down trans for dropping motor voltage, where should this be located, on the floor, a shelf, doesn't matter, etc.?
