This isn't a bad inexpensive table, but you could do much better for the same price. It feels like a toy. Unless you are getting it free or a great deal on a used one, I wouldn't waste your time. The spindle bearing is the size of a headphone jack on an iPod. I had to use a toothpic to refil the spindle well with lubricant. Nothing else was small enough. The sound is better than you might think but still. For an extra $50 you can have the Technics 1210. You would have to buy a cart but the cart the mmf comes with is in a word worthless. You would have to replace it anyway. A Technics with a AT440MLA would be orders of magnitude better than the mmf 2.1.

You can also go vintage. There are some great vintage tables that are even significantly less than the mmf, but it may require some elbo grease on your part.

I really wouldn't waste your time with the 2.1, just my thoughts.

Nate
