Cornet II arrives. Yipeeee! (pic)

First, my thanks to anumber1 (Al) for assembling this beauty for me.
Wow, I did not realize how large this puppy is. To get an idea, the pic shows it installed in my 18 1/2" wide cabinet.
Now, how it sounds. Once I realized the mono switch was in mono mode and flipped it to stereo, all that Al resported in his initial testing/listening is confirmed.
The best summary of my first impressions are that the Cornet II combines the smoothness and refinement of the Rogue Stealth with the dynamics and detail of the Jolida JD-9. Not a bad comparison, methinks.
Even at this early stage, I know I'm listening to the best phono preamp I have owned. It's a dynamite companion to the CineMag SUT.
More to come as I listen. Steely Dan's "Aja" (original ABC pressing) on the Scout now.
Is there a Clarinet line stage in my future?? Hmmmm.
