About that. It's a fine table, the best I've owned since I sold my Simply Physics Dark Star with air bearing arm many years ago.
That said, my physical limitations and the ease of use of this little Denon belt drive deck have me thinking about selling the Scout. I also still have my Technics SL-1200MK2. I'm listening to Borodin's 2nd Symphony as I write and know I do not have to jump up before the end of a side. The DP-300F will dutifully return the arm to rest and shut off.
It sounds fine, especially since I had the Ortofon 540MKII mounted yesterday. I can live with this, methinks.
The Scout is detailed, rhythmic and dynamic. Both the OC9ML/II and DL-103 work fine in the JMW-9 arm wands (glad I got two). I upgraded the clamp to the SS/Delrin and have not even installed the 300 rpm motor upgrade yet. It is sitting in a cabinet.
I might even sell the Technics, especially if I can get a spare headshell for the Denon.
