Well, I figured after having the table here for three weeks, now that I have the speed issue resolved, I should take care of the rca solderign and give her a listen.I took a lightly used AT-15XE cartridge and did a quick alignment. I really did not expect much from that 40 plus year old Thorens arm, but it really wasn't so bad at all. Played John Lee Hooker's album...the title escapes me, the one with The Waterfront on it. Very good tracking and nice solid imaging. Are there some folks who leave that arm on there? It seems certainly as good as an AR XA arm.
However, I can't wait to get to installing the SME arm and a really decent cartridge!
