I shop at 8 different Half Price stores in three states
during my days off. Some stores (Album) guys don't know what
they have and some do. Bargains mixed in with overpriced
yard sale stuff. Half tries to take everything that people
bring in ...they will just make some nominal offer like a $1
for stuff they don't want or need.

I have acquired a lot of really good LP's from Half over the
years...All of Chicago's lp's (NM) for a $1 per record. I had to
buy some lp's two to four times to get a VG++/NM copy...I do screen first but you can't always tell by looks. I have paid as much as $8-10 for some popular titles like Pink Floyd...picked up a mint copy of The Wall for $3 (great sounding copy!!!)

I even seen a mint copy of the Beetles MFSL box set once at Half
for $600...they knew what they had in that case.

On a negative note...many Half's are cutting back on vinyl
inventory lately...but others are not. It just depends.
