I agree with your comments about the nastiness here. I think we should all just let someone elses opinion slide a bit more. We can discuss things without contempt and tantrums.As for upgrading tubes, you have something special in the near future.... The Mullards take a good 100 hours to break in. The sound of the EH's break in about 25 hours.
I would just leave the thing on and idling for 4 days. That should cook the tubes just about perfect.
After that you can cycle the preamp as you did before.
