The HC is not very good. Avoid it. I have a raft of versions, and to my ears, the Japanese Sony 25AP1274 is the best, closely followed by the Dutch CBS 80959.In general, the HC is muddy and ill-defined. The Japanese edition is clearer and has more punch. The recording is a sow's ear to begin with, so there's really no making a silk purse out of it. It's just degrees of mud.
If you are looking for audiophile Bruce, try to get a Dutch "Nebraska." It's a home recording, but that's its charm - the pressing really brings out the presence. And it's a gatefold with lyrics, to boot.
