Question on Project Phono Box and Subsonic Filter.....

64.231.56.147

I'm putting together a vinyl system for my son and need a budget phono stage. Does anyone know if the original Project Phono Box (not the version II) has a built-in subsonic filter. I know in the marketing for the SE version they point out the defeatable rumble filter on it but there is no mention of any filter on the standard box, defeatable or not.

Alternatively, if nobody knows, if you could chime in on your experience with this unit and whether you had any woofer pumping or rumble problems, that would be great too. I really don't want to have to buy a subsonic as well (this cheap project has taken on a life of its own and it's out of control-what started out with a $5 garage sale turntable is now up to close to $500 Cnd. including cartridge, speaker cables, speakers and the phono box-the phono stage in my old Audiolab integrated is fried) The phono box will be used with a Pioneer PL 12D and an AT 120E cartridge.

Thanks in advance.
