A fully & completely KAB modded SL-1200/1210 (as already suggested). What's the full potential? I'm curious. Maybe you could get one from Kevin including the upcoming (when Kevin, WHEN!!?) tonearm rewire upgrade?.Audio Technica AT-440MLa since I'm considering one myself. :-)
The new Thorens TD-350. It's belt drive and suspended so it's completely unhip. With Thorens not being the company they used to be, does it still compare to their big offerings from way back when? Some history in there...
That weird & crazy Thales tonearm (I guess it's too expensive?).
One or more (maybe a "group" test) of the old but still relevant cartridge designs like Decca, Ortofon SPU and EMT. Throw in a DL-103 if you MUST. :-)
Maybe a Moerch tonearm (like a UP-4)? They don't seem to get a lot of attention "over there" (me? I'm from Denmark).
