I have been shopping for a TT for a couple of weeks. I narrowed my search down to a VPI Scoutmaster, a used VPI Aries and an Origin Live Aurora with Silver or Encounter tone arm. There is tons of info on VPI but I decided against them because I want a more forward sound. VPI's are more in the soft warm catagory from what I was told. I pulled the trigger on the Aurora and Encounter arm. I would have loved to have seen more information on this table though. There are two versions. Tha standard and the gold. I would like to know the differences between them. Also the differences beteween the Silver and the Encounter arm. Origin is highly regarded in europe. I went ahead and bought it. I feel like I'm half crazy spending so much on a table. I hope it is as good as they say when it arrives.
