I'm surprised you had trouble disabling the auto shut-off. Did you try removing the ceramic disk mounted on the bottom of the arm (see illustration at bottom of page 10 in the thorens td145 service manual)? If the ceramic disk or inductance sensor are removed, I don't see how the auto shut off would work.Just curious as a TD145 owner. My issue is getting the auto shut off to work!
