Just a quick followup on the new Denon TT.1. The table does have an anti-skate dial on the right side of the arm 0-4 scale.
2. The arm has no VTA adjustment. The Denon cart is of average height and one could play around with different mats to get some VTA adjustment.
3. Like Regas, there is no third ground wire. Grounding is done via one of the shield wires.
4. There is no on/off switch. Hitting the start button or manually using the cue lever and moving the arm toward the platter starts things. For this reason, the deck must be unplugged to check VTF with a gauge.
5. LP Gear has an eliptical stylus upgrade for the DN-85 MM cart if one does not want to swap carts. I plan on installing the best MM I have, a like new Ortofon 540MKII in a few weeks.I've listened to a half dozen LPs on the Denon and continue to be impressed by its sonics. It's a budget, entry-level deck to be sure, but plays music without getting in the way, which is not bad at all considering its bargain basement price.
