Fred,As far as the Ort Super OM-10 is concerned, it's quite detailed and a decent tracker. It's only caveat is it's bright, and on a table that tends to be on the bright side itself, it was not the best choice overall. I got a lot out of it in the 6 years I had it so it was pretty worth it. If it had been on a more neutral table, it'd have done better sonically speaking.
I agree, the Shure simple doesn't get in the way and give me even more detail than the Ort gave and it gave me a lot.
