It will take on the average about 5-7 grams additional mass to change the resonant frequency 1Hz.
Garth, how do you get to 5-7g per Hz?
Calculating the resonance for JMW9 (7.7g + 1g for mounting) with Denon DL103R (8.5 g, ca. 10Cu), I get a frequency of 12.14Hz. Adding 3 g effective mass gives me a resonance at 11.2Hz.
From that I would estimate 3-3.5g to change the resonance by 1Hz.
