I don't really like rap that much, but I do luvs me some bass. There's an 11-cent reward payable to whoever can identify the author of those lyrics. I have an HSU VTF-2 MK.II that augments my Revel F-12's. My sub can go lower than I really get out of it, as the floorstanders are hitting low 30's easily, so the HSU is crossed at its lowest setting (30Hz). I have the gain scaled way back so it doesn't get in the way of the F-12's bass too much. As things are I'm at -8 @ 20 hz, -2 @ 25, 0 @ 27, +3 @ 31.5. In a 14.5 x 10 x 8 room, I've got bass for days and days. It's usually plenty good even w/out the sub, but sometimes the sub is mandated...decreed by the visceral gods. Whether it's a bass-light recording, something with some very low info, or just subsonic serendipity, I don't know. It is tasty though. WORD!!!
