Thorens TP 13a tonearm on TD-150 mkII

I'm a newbie, so I hope this isn't a stupid post.

I just recently got a Thorens TD-150 mkII. There was some shipping damage: outer plate wasn't removed or shimmed; worse, the tonearm took some damage. It sorta works -- even damaged this TT sounds better than my Dual 1237 or 1225 -- but the tonearm is bent just behind the pivot, and there may be something wrong with the bearing, but I don't know how this works. There are two screws that attach the horizontal piece to the post; I can't get the outside one loose (maybe I need to loosen the outer screw with a special screwdriver first?) and if the inside one is too loose the whole tonearm rocks azimuthally, which seems like a bad thing. A little tighter and it does funny things to VTA: it *feels* loose but tracking force gauge says otherwise (reading is low but then stays high after pushing headshell down--does that description make sense?). Oh, and the arm is also missing the antiskating outrigger arm and the cueing mechanism is bad (it drops too fast and the threads are stripped, so the screw acts like a lynchpin rather than a screw). I *do* have the antiskating weight :)

So: does anyone know where I can get another TP-13a? Is this fixable? If so, any idea where I can get parts? I know I should probably upgrade, but I hear good things about this tonearm, and I think it's kind of cool looking. Surely there are a bunch sitting in drawers somewhere because other people hated them.

Sorry to be so longwinded.

Jack

Oh, also, am I in danger of damaging my vinyl using the arm in this condition?

Thanks.
