Technics SL1200 - Switching to Baerwald or Lofgren Alignment

The Technics SL1200 has a pivot to stylus distance of 215mm, offset angle is 22 degrees, and the overhang tool supplied by Technics sets overhang at 15mm. Thus, if you use Technic's alignment your null points are at 58.5mm and 113.5mm. This is definitely neither Baerwald nor Lofgren.

Has anyone tried increasing both the offset angle by twisting the cartridge in the headshell slots (to 23.971 degrees) and the overhang (to 18.053mm) in order to use the Baerwald alignment or increasing (to 23.971 degreees and 18.556mm) for Lofgren B?

If so, did you notice any significant change in the sonics?
