Good cheap manual record cleaner?????

I'd like to get some sort of "safe" system to clean my vinyl. I have no problem doing this manually. Should I get some sort of special brush and fluid? Soap and water? What should I use to get off the "crap" I dislodge off the record??? I use a carbon fiber brush just to get the dust off before playing, but I've gotten out some of my old Louis Armstrong garage sale finds- and they really could use a good cleaning, along with, too many - unfortunately, some others. Hoping not to spend much- maybe $20-50 or so-don't need a machine- the labor will be ME. Just want to get it done best I can.
