DENON DP-2000 (2500, 2550) unstable speed

Hello everyone.
I have own a DENON DP-2550 since 1979. Its the model with a DP-2000 motor fitted on a base without arm. I installed a SME type III arm on it. It worked fine for many years. I left it unused for about a year and decided to use it again, bad luck! The speed is now unstable. As seen on the stroboscope it drifts slowly on the right (slow) side by small regular jerks. Has anyone had this problem ? and how was it solved?
